What sets it apart
- Rarity from real readers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary from a year of real page views. The odds of every rarity are shown in the game.
- A real trading card feel: packs you tear open with your finger, holo foil that follows the tilt of the phone, sounds and haptics for Epic and Legendary pulls.
- Trivia duels: six cards against six, one question about the enemy card (right description, missing year or missing word), 15 seconds, and the faster you answer the harder you hit.
- Respect for the sources: CC BY-SA text with a link to the article, free Wikimedia Commons images with their credit, content and licence checks before a card enters the catalogue, reporting from inside the game.
- No account required: progress stays on the phone; the online profile for friend duels is optional and can be deleted at any time.
Context
The genre was born on the web in 2026, with Wikigacha in Japan and then WikiMasters, which went viral in French-speaking countries in September. WikiCards is an independent game designed for the phone from day one. It is not affiliated with WikiMasters, Wikigacha, Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation.
